New Home Inspections

Have you ever heard "But, the house was inspected by the City or County Inspector!"

Did you know that the home builder will not perform as thorough of an inspection of a new home as Corner Point Home Inspections?
There are good reasons to have a professional home inspection performed on the brand new home your client is buying. Did you know that home builders and municipal inspectors do not use ladders in their inspections? The roof and attic space are never accessed for evaluation! (I recently found one home that the entire attic had no insulation installed and the home had been occupied for 4 years!) Outlets and plumbing fixtures may never be checked for proper installation. It just makes sense to learn as much as you can about the quality of your new home, before signing off on everything.

Did you know that many municipal building inspectors perform 30 to 40 inspections per day, that's 10 to 15 minutes at each site!

Building a new home is a tremendously complex endeavor. It involves many people, usually split up into sub-contractor groups, each working on different parts and systems of the house. Even for the best builders, it's nearly impossible to complete this process without missing something. Maybe it's a plumbing fixture that didn't get tested for leaks, maybe it's an electrical box that isn't working, or any one of dozens of minor problems that can easily be overlooked in such a major undertaking. We will find such problems that others have overlooked while it is still early enough for you to bring them up with the builder and have them corrected before your client sign-off and start moving in.

For the relatively small cost, a professional inspection of that new dream home can pay big dividends in peace of mind and getting any problems identified and corrected before they can become an unpleasant surprise.

After thousands of inspections personally completed by Corner Point Home Inspections, we have identified the 10 Most Common Defects in New Construction.
